Open access policy

Miradas journal guarantees immediate, free, and open access to all of its contents, based on the principle that the unrestricted availability of scientific production fosters the global exchange of knowledge and strengthens the social circulation of academic research. In accordance with the principles established by the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the journal recognizes that open access contributes to increasing the visibility, impact, and social appropriation of scientific knowledge.

Likewise, Miradas adopts the Diamond Open Access model, which means that no fees are charged either to readers for accessing the contents or to authors for the submission, peer-review, editing, publication, or digital preservation processes of the articles.

The costs associated with the editorial process are fully covered by the Vice-Rectorate of Research, Innovation and Outreach of the Technological University of Pereira, as part of its institutional commitment to the democratization of knowledge, open science, and the strengthening of publicly accessible academic research.

The journal authorizes the consultation, download, copying, distribution, printing, and academic use of the published articles, provided that proper acknowledgment is given to the authorship and the original source of publication. In this way, Miradas promotes the free, ethical, and unrestricted circulation of knowledge in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.
