Receipt of articles

The articles presented must be unpublished research results and must not be subjected to simultaneous consideration of publication by other national or international scientific journals.

Articles Type 1. Scientific and technological research: Presents the original results of completed research projects, its general structure contains: Introduction, methodology, results and conclusions.

Type 2 Articles of Reflection: Presents research results from an analytical, interpretive or critical perspective on a specific topic.

Type 3 Articles of Review: Documents in which the research results are analyzed, systematized and integrated. They are characterized by presenting a careful review of at least fifty references.

Articles must be submitted through the journal's website, on the OJS platform (https://revistas.utp.edu.co/index.php/miradas/user/register) or by email to: miradas@utp.edu.co

Evaluation process:

It is carried out in two phases: In the first, the article is reviewed and approved by the Editorial Committee and, in the second, it is evaluated and approved by two external peers.

Extension:

The maximum length of the articles is 20 pages on letter-size paper (including bibliographic references and annexes, if any), in Times New Roman 12 font, 1.5 line spacing. Double spaces or special spacing should not be used between paragraphs.

Article structure

Title: The title must be in Times New Roman 14 letters, centered, in lowercase letters.

The margins of the document are 2.54 cm on each side.

A footnote should list the name of the project from which the article is derived, the institution and the research group.

Author: Authors must appear according to their contribution to the research. The most relevant biographical data, institutional affiliation, current position and email must be in a footnote.

Note: Authors must register with the journal

Abstract: Times New Roman 11 font, with single line spacing. It must specify the objective of the research, the main theoretical and methodological aspects, the most relevant results and conclusions. It is recommended to include only essential bibliographic references.

Keywords: Following the abstract, list the keywords that facilitate thematic analysis and identification of the article in international indexes.

Note: Both the abstract and the keywords must be in Spanish and English.

Articles in Portuguese must have the abstract in all three languages. Introduction: Contextualizes and adequately presents the purposes of the manuscript.

Development

Reference framework: Provides adequate theoretical support, based on updated bibliographic references (approximately 75% of the references correspond to the last decade).

Methodology: Clearly and precisely describe procedures, materials, and methods (where applicable).

Results: It presents the necessary and sufficient data.

Discussion: Interpretation of the data in relation to the proposed objectives and / or hypotheses (if applicable) and with the reference framework.

Conclusions: Synthesis of results and reflection on the most relevant findings, possible applications and / or projections.

Bibliographic references: They are presented at the end of the article, following the A.P.A version 7 standards. In general, the latest version APA standards should be used.

Images: They must go in the text, and in a separate file.

Attached Documents: After the article has been approved and corrections have been made, the following formats must be attached: Author (s) and Assignment of rights data found in the following link (https://revistas.utp.edu. co / index.php / looks / formats).
