Construction and Resilience: An Analysis of European Identity in Times of Crisis

This article analyzes the relationship between the most significant contemporary crises the European Union has faced in recent years and their impact on European collective identity. To this end, the concepts of crisis and identity will be examined, establishing a solid theoretical foundation. Subsequently, a detailed and contextualized analysis of data on European identity and the various issues associated with these crises will be conducted, using information extracted from different Standard Eurobarometers from 2016 to 2023. Finally, the potential correlation between European citizens' individual perceptions and their identification with the European community will be assessed.
