Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the journalistic experience of the coverage of the Central High Crisis of 1957, in the city of Little Rock, capital of the state of Arkansas, in the United States. By contextualizing the event we will focus on the experience and memory of a young professional from the Arkansas Democrat newspaper, Phyllis Brandon, who covered the events of September 1957. With this work it is possible to understand the difference in coverage between the two main media outlets in the state, highlighting the effects of such construction and their interests.
