Abstract

Para el grupo de docentes objeto del estudio, enseñar geometría se supeditaba a la exposición y repetición de definiciones y la contemplación de objetos geométricos y símbolos, fomentando la  pasividad del estudiante ante el aprendizaje. Se aborda la  hipótesis sobre el impacto de las metodologías de clase en el aprendizaje de la geometría; se decidió planificar, ejecutar y evaluar  una experiencia de enseñanza que favorezca el aprendizaje activo y el proceso de conceptualizar. El estudio ¿qué es un poliedro? Promovió ambientes de aprendizajes activos y de equipo entre los estudiantes,  favoreciendo el   descubrimiento, la exploración, el razonamiento y la conceptualización en geometría.
