Abstract

Es de mucho interés del autor presentar en este articulo una buena fundamentación del sistema de manufactura esbelta, sus orígenes, la clasificación de los diferentes tipos de desperdicios, sus objetivos generales y específicos, mostrando una sencilla guía para su implementación. De igual manera, indicar sus distintos niveles de intervención, sus beneficios y desventajas. Al final, se relacionan algunas conclusiones que pretenden motivar a los lectores y empresarios a profundizar en esta estrategia de producción y su posible implementación en las empresas colombianas
