SECADO SOLAR Y CONVENCIONAL DE LA GUADUA ANGUSTIFOLIA

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es la descripción del secado de la guadua, tanto La Guadua Rolliza como la Guadua en tablillas para una adecuada aplicación en usos y comercialización de productos de la especie de bambú “Guadua angustifolia”. Las tecnologías que se han probado son las del secador solar tipo invernadero, secado convencional en cámaras y en proyecto de desarrollo de investigación futuro el secado con ventilación por tiro forzado. Esta investigación es fundamental para desarrollar un producto a escala industrial y/o de exportación. Como resultado principal, se construyeron 2 prototipos solares, el primero ubicado en el vivero de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira y el segundo en la localidad de Cerritos, para el secado de Guadua en tablillas. En cuanto al secado en cámara convencional se tienen resultados concretos en secado de Guadua rolliza, realizado en los hornos del Centro Nacional de la Madera del SENA Medellín. En la UTP se acaban de automatizar dos hornos, uno solar-asistido por gas y otro convencional.
