Open Access Policy

Diamond Open Access Policy

The journal Scientia et Technica (eISSN 2344-7214, ISSN 0122-1701) adheres to the Diamond Open Access model. This publishing philosophy ensures that scientific content remains permanently, immediately, and freely accessible to both authors and readers. Our policy eliminates financial barriers within the scholarly communication cycle by removing all costs related to processing, peer review, editing, and consultation.

Rationale and International Commitment

This policy is fully aligned with the Action Plan for Diamond Open Access, promoted by cOAlition S, Science Europe, OPERAS, and the ANR. Under these guidelines, we define our mission within a sustainable academic ecosystem, led by the scientific community and grounded in the principles of equity, editorial quality, and bibliodiversity [1], [2].

Fee-Free Publication (Non-APC)

Scientia et Technica guarantees a total absence of Article Processing Charges (APCs). The journal does not apply fees of any kind—neither financial nor in-kind—for the following stages:

  • Manuscript submission (submission charges).
  • Peer review.
  • Editorial processing and typesetting.
  • Publication, download, and perpetual access.

This ensures a genuine democratization of knowledge, where scientific merit prevails over the financial capacity of researchers or their institutions [1], [3].

Academic Governance and Sustainability

The journal’s management is based on a non-commercial, institutional-academic approach. Our mission is to strengthen scholarly communication through platforms led by research institutions and non-profit entities, ensuring that control over intellectual production remains within academia rather than commercial publishers [1], [2].

Legal Framework and Licensing

To ensure maximum dissemination and the protection of author rights, articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license permits copying, distribution, and adaptation of the materials, provided that original authorship is acknowledged, there is no commercial gain, and derivative works are shared under the same protective scheme. This legal framework strictly complies with the indexing and evaluation standards of global systems such as DOAJ [4].

Compliance Statement

Based on the above, Scientia et Technica ratifies its status as a Diamond Open Access publication, fulfilling the international pillars of the model:

  1. Immediate and unrestricted open access.
  2. Absence of APCs for authors and subscription fees for readers.
  3. Non-commercial institutional editorial management.
  4. Use of open licenses that promote Open Science.
