Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo efectuar el análisis, la contextualización y la generación de una propuesta con los elementos notables en la internacionalización de pequeñas y medianas2 empresas colombianas. El marco referencial incluye revisión bibliográfica realizada por Karise Hutchison, Barry Quinn y Nicholas Alexander en el documento “The Internationalization of Small to Medium- Sized Retail Companies: Towards A Conceptual Framework”, estudios sobre el comercio exterior colombiano, la situación actual de PYMES del eje cafetero, casos de empresas que exitosamente han ingresado a mercados internacionales, la intervención estatal y la asesoría para el emprendimiento que ofrece la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira.
