Abstract

En este artículo se presenta una descripción de los árboles de decisión y del algoritmo ID3 (Induction Decision tree) para determinar si se debe o no aplicar fármacos a paciente con enfermedades cardiovasculares. En esta investigación se demuestra empíricamente que es posible diagnosticar la necesidad de administrar fármacos en pacientes con síntomas de enfermedad cardiovascular, usando las variables presión arterial, índice de colesterol, azúcar en la sangre, alergias a antibióticos y otras alergias, mediante la utilización de árboles de decisión con el algoritmo ID3 (Induction Decision tree) implementado en el lenguaje Java.
