Abstract

La umbralización1 es una técnica en el tratamiento digital de las imágenes que permite, entre otras, la separación del los objetos de interés con el fondo. La selección de la estrategia más adecuada para cada caso se hace crítica dependiendo del objetivo principal del procesamiento siendo el tiempo de ejecución una de las mayores limitantes. Este trabajo realiza un análisis de las técnicas básicas de umbralización conducentes a la binarización de las imágenes en el desarrollo de la investigación del estudio del movimiento oscilatorio mediante visión por computadora del grupo Robótica Aplicada de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira.
