Thevetin B: glicósido cardiotónico predominante en thevetia peruviana

El glicósido1 cardiotónico Thevetin B fue aislado, purificado, caracterizado y cuantificado como el componente principal en las hojas de Thevetia peruviana, especie vegetal difundida en la región del Valle del Aburrá. Las potenciales propiedades cardiotónicas descritas para este tipo de compuestos, lo convierten en una molécula de interés para el tratamiento de la insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva. Su purificación fue alcanzada mediante cromatografía de columna, su identificación estructural a través de espectroscopia de RMN y cromatografía líquida de alta resolución acoplada a masas (HPLC-MS) y su cuantificación por cromatogramas de HPLC haciendo uso del método de estándar externo.Downloads
