Abstract

Debido al auge de las certificaciones de sistemas de gestión de la calidad con base en la norma ISO 9001, ha surgido la inquietud tanto desde la academia como desde la práctica empresarial, sobre el impacto real de dicha certificación en las empresas. Se propone entonces una metodología que permitirá a las organizaciones determinar si efectivamente la implementación del sistema de gestión de la calidad y su correspondiente certificación ha impactado en los resultados de la compañía. Esta metodología se sustenta en la información de la empresa y en una depuración de factores externos que podrían afectar los resultados o hacer que estos se asocien equivocadamente a la certificación de la calidad. En la medida que las organizaciones posean datos, la herramienta les permitirá un resultado muy cercano a la realidad y una visión real sobre sus resultados en función de la certificación ISO 9001.
