Perspectivas de uso de subproductos agroindustriales para la producción de bioetanol

La búsqueda de procesos y productos limpios y amigables ambientalmente ha incrementado el auge de aprovechar los recursos naturales en la obtención de biocombustibles. El presente estudio se enfocó en la caracterización fisicoquímica de cinco subproductos agroindustriales de mayor producción en el departamento del Tolima, buscando con ello determinar su potencialidad en la elaboración de bioetanol. Los resultados hacen pensar que los cinco subproductos, por diferentes circunstancias, podrían ser considerados como materia prima para la obtención de bioetanol. No obstante, las mejores perspectivas se tienen en la cachaza de caña y los fitoresiduos de Lima Tahití y de Limón Común.Downloads
