Los Sistemas de Indexación y Resumen van más allá de las listas de Minciencias

La reapertura de Publindex en abril de 2026, mediante la Convocatoria 977, marca el regreso del sistema de clasificación de revistas científicas colombianas después de varios años sin medición. El Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Minciencias) presentó esta convocatoria indicando que es el resultado del trabajo entre la Asociación Colombiana de Universidades (ASCUN), el Sistema Universitario Estatal (SUE) y la Asociación de Editoriales Universitarias de Colombia (ASEUC), con el propósito de consolidar un modelo más transparente y representativo de la diversidad regional del país [1].
El retorno de Publindex obliga a revisar una confusión recurrente en la gestión editorial colombiana al suponer que todos los Sistemas de Indexación y Resumen (SIR) cumplen la misma función. Esa interpretación genera decisiones editoriales erróneas que afectan la permanencia y clasificación de las revistas nacionales en Publindex.
