Abstract

Este artículo resume el resultado de un estudio diagnóstico de la situación actual de la enseñanza de la asignatura física I en la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, ubicada en la ciudad del mismo nombre en el departamento de Risaralda, Colombia. Ello hace parte de un proyecto de investigación que tiene como fin, identificar la problemática relacionada con la formación en física de los ingenieros en la mencionada institución y proponer alternativas de solución. Para llevar a cabo el estudio se diseñó un grupo de instrumentos que tuvo como marco teórico la pedagogía, la cual considera como una de sus ramas la didáctica, ciencia que a su vez proporciona el sistema categorial sobre el cual trabajar. Los instrumentos se aplicaron a la totalidad de los profesores que durante el primer semestre de 2008 orientaron la materia así como a una muestra representativa de estudiantes que ya la habían cursado. El análisis correspondiente al estudio, sugiere que el programa requiere repensarse en búsqueda de la eficiencia, pertinencia e integración.
