Abstract

En el siguiente artículo se presenta una propuesta para la industrialización del proceso de empaque de forraje de maíz utilizado para ensilaje, el cual es utilizado como alternativa de alimentación para el ganado. En este trabajo se describe el diseño de máquina y el diseño, construcción y pruebas del prototipo para dosificar, compactar y adición de nutrientes del forraje del maíz. Se describen las pruebas de compactación realizadas para determinar la fuerza requerida por unidad de área tal que permita extraer la mayor cantidad de aire, que conserve su forma y evite la pérdida de nutrientes.
