Abstract

El consumo de combustible y las emisiones en los motores de combustión dependen mucho de las temperaturas del material y del refrigerante. Este hecho es particularmente importante a bajas cargas y en los regímenes de operación urbanos de los vehículos. En este artículo se comenta la importancia de los sistemas de refrigeración en los motores de combustión y se destaca su importancia en las prestaciones de éstos; también se da una breve descripción de la simulación de un sistema de refrigeración básico de un motor durante un ciclo de conducción estandarizado.
