Efecto de las borrascas sobre la disponibilidad de plantas de generación a filo de agua

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio del efecto de las borrascas sobre la disponibilidad de plantas de generación a filo de agua en el cual este fenómeno natural se modela como un proceso estocástico puntual. Tomando como ejemplo la planta Libaré de la ciudad de Pereira se encontró que al incluir las borrascas el índice de disponibilidad de esta planta se reduce en un 16% y sus índices de confiabilidad aumentan de 60% a 118% lo cual muestra la importancia de incluir estos eventos en la valoración de confiabilidad de este tipo de plantas.
