Abstract

Este artículo es resultado del avance del proyecto de implementación “RADAR, Red Académica de Alta Velocidad Regional”, trabajo del grupo de investigación TICER conformado por integrantes del grupo Campus virtual y algunas IES de Caldas. El articulo presenta la experiencia en la creación de redes regionales académicas de alta velocidad y específicamente la experiencia derivada de la red RADAR, conformada por once instituciones de educación superior de Caldas, Risaralda y por Cenicafé. Este recurso tecnológico pretende ser la principal infraestructura de TIC’s que sirva como apoyo a la docencia y la investigación de las universidades del occidente de Colombia.
