Abstract

En este artículo se ilustran algunos modelos que intentan determinar el momento óptimo para reemplazo de equipo industrial, sus virtudes y sus defectos. Se presenta también un recorrido por la investigación de operaciones (I.O.) en el que se puede observar cómo han sido utilizadas algunas de sus técnicas para dar solución al problema del reemplazo y se dejan abiertas discusiones acerca de la aplicabilidad de otras.
