Pruebas cortas en ruta en un vehículo tipo microbus con biodiesel de aceite de palma colombiano

Abstract

Se presentan los resultados de las mediciones realizadas en un vehículo operando con biodiesel de aceite de palma, diesel común, diesel bajo azufre y sus mezclas bajo un protocolo de conducción diseñado por los autores. Al usar mezclas diesel-biodiesel se obtuvo un incremento entre 2% y 5% en la autonomía del vehículo. La opacidad de humos disminuyó entre 50% y 90% y las emisiones de CO2 y CO disminuyeron entre 6% y 29% en función de la concentración. Los resultados obtenidos muestran al biodiesel como una excelente alternativa energética de origen renovable para mezclarlo con el combustible diesel convencional.
