Estudio experimental de las variables que afectan la reacción de transesterificación del aceite crudo de palma para la producción de biodiesel
Abstract
En este trabajo se presenta un estudio experimental llevado a cabo con el objetivo de optimizar la obtención de biodiesel mediante la metanólisis básica del aceite crudo de palma Colombiano. Las variables analizadas fueron la relación molar metanol/aceite (RMA) y la cantidad de catalizador utilizada (CC). Utilizando NaOH como catalizador, se realizó un diseño factorial de experimentos 32 con dos réplicas para cada fase del aceite: oleina, estearina y aceite crudo. Las condiciones óptimas para lograr la máxima conversión de la reacción se obtuvieron cuando se uso como materia prima el aceite crudo, una RMA de 12 y una CC de 0.6%. El biodiesel obtenido cumple con la mayoría de especificaciones técnicas estipuladas en las normas internacionales para combustibles diesel.Downloads
