TRATAMIENTO DE AGUAS RESIDUALES DEL PROCESO DE EXTRACCIÓN DE ALMIDÓN DE YUCA EN FILTRO ANAEROBIO: INFLUENCIA DEL MEDIO DE SOPORTE
Abstract
El proceso de extracción de almidón de yuca genera residuos con una alta carga contaminante medida como DQO (Demanda Química de Oxígeno) y carácter ácido. La aplicación de la tecnología de filtro anaerobio con tres medios de soporte (cáscara de coco, anillos de guadua y lecho mixto compuesto por residuos de ladrillera y cáscara de coco) mostró que el medio que permitió encontrar las mejores condiciones operacionales y eficiencias de remoción de DQO y SST (70 y 90% respectivamente) fue la cáscara de coco, además de ser muy competitiva en precios y facilidad de acceso comparado con los otros medios evaluados.Downloads
