Abstract

En esta revisión se compararon los procesos individuales de obtención de sílice y carbón activado con un proceso de producción conjunta. En la primera parte se enumeran las variables y procesos propios de la producción de cada material de forma individual. En la segunda sección se sugiere y analiza un procedimiento más amigable con el ambiente en el que es posible obtener de forma simultánea ambos materiales. Por medio del proceso simultáneo el carbón activado presentó un área específica de 1713 m2/g y un volumen de poro de 1,8 mL/g y la sílice exhibió una estructura amorfa con diámetro de partícula de 40 a 50 nm.
