Abstract

Paraquat is a pesticide from the group of herbicides associated with high morbidity and mortality after ingestion with suicidal intent. Among the prognostic aids in the patient intoxicated by this substance there is international literature that takes into account the chest tomography and its findings, however there are no reports at the national level, nor inclusion of this parameter in national guidelines. Therefore, We report the case of a patient with a late diagnosis where, when no pulmonary compromise was found on admission, it was decided to start treatment and obtained favorable results related to the patient's survival.
