Abstract

Se describen1 los principales conceptos acerca de los diodos orgánicos emisores de luz (OLEDs), con énfasis en la estructura básica y el mecanismo interno de los OLEDs como dispositivos orgánicos emisores de fotones. También se presenta un resumen de los diferentes tipos de OLEDs existentes y una explicación de las configuraciones de los mismos, describiendo brevemente los últimos avances en esta tecnología.
