Estudio de las fases predominantes y caracterización de las escorias del proceso de obtención de ferro níquel
Abstract
En el procesamiento de mineral laterítico de Níquel el proceso de fusión se realiza en un Horno de Arco Eléctrico, de donde se obtienen dos productos: metal y escoria. La escoria es del orden de 16 veces la cantidad de Metal, lo que equivale a 3.800 toneladas diarias. La operación de este reactor depende de las propiedades de la escoria, en especial su temperatura de fusión. La escoria contiene principalmente 4 especies, MgO-SiO2-Al2O3- FeO (MSAF). Muestras típicas de escoria se caracterizan, y se ubican en el diagrama cuaternario y a partir de este se obtiene un pseudobinario, con las regiones de estabilidad de los diferentes componentes y con las fases predominantes.Downloads
