Abstract

En el momento en que se da inicio a la construcción de los primeros mecanismos mecánicos se presenta el desgaste de los materiales que los conforman; la tribología, que no es más que la evaluación del desgaste de los materiales, cobra importancia tanto a nivel industrial como académico. En esta investigación se evaluó el comportamiento del acero AISI –SAE 1020 al ser sometido a desgaste adhesivo en un tribómetro de cilindros cruzados, el ensayo se realizó bajo norma ASTM G83 – 96
