Resistencia al desgaste de cuchillas de arados rotativos en operación en suelos tropicales

Abstract

Se estudió la resistencia al desgaste de cuchillas de tres tipos de arados rotativos (grada rotativa, rotavator y motazada) en suelos tropicales del municipio de Santa Fe de Antioquia. También se realizaron ensayos de resistencia al desgaste en condiciones de laboratorio (norma ASTM G65). El desgaste más significativo en ensayos de campo lo presentaron las cuchillas tipo grada rotativa y rotavator. Se determinó que la frecuencia rotativa de operación y las fuerzas súbitas de impacto herramienta – suelo son los factores que más inciden. En los ensayos de laboratorio, no se presentaron diferencias significativas en el desgaste de las herramientas
