Efecto del radio del indentador en la medición de propiedades mecánicas por medio de ensayos de indentación
Abstract
En éste trabajo se realizaron experimentos de indentación instrumentada, DSI, en sílice fundida con indentadores Berkovich, uno con radio en la punta de 122 nm y otro con radio de 370 nm. Los resultados sugieren que la constante β* necesaria para corregir las ecuaciones de Sneddon, en las cuales están basados los modelos para la interpretación de los resultados obtenidos en ensayos DSI, debe ser modificada dependiendo no sólo de la geometría del indentador y del radio de la punta como hasta ahora ha sido considerado sino también de la profundidad máxima. Algunas implicaciones en la medición de dureza y el efecto del tamaño de indentación, ISE, también son discutidas.Downloads
