Caracterización defectológica de piezas fundidas por lost foam casting mediante simulación numérica
Abstract
Se reporta la simulación mediante Flow-3D de fenómenos térmicos que dan lugar a la defectología de partes fundidas por LFC (Lost Foam Casting). Para una mayor precisión en los modelos, se han considerado mallas simples y bloques múltiples, En particular, el calor transferido desde el metal hasta la espuma es usado para calcular el volumen de espuma degradada y la velocidad del proceso de llenado. Mediante la simulación del proceso de solidificación, se encontraron puntos de mayor contracción y concentración de defectos, lo cual facilitó la optimización de parámetros a nivel industrial, así como la manufactura de hidrantes por LFC.Downloads
