La energía eléctrica en la globalización e integración de mercados eléctricos

Abstract

La globalización se ha extendido como una necesidad de los países de agruparse para generar valor agregado en las diferentes áreas a la cadena de producción. La energía eléctrica, producto principal en la integración regional en un mercado eléctrico, coloca a las líneas de transmisión como soporte para que exista libre competencia. La remuneración del uso de las líneas de transmisión que interconectan países se convierte en tema de discusión académica, empresarial y legal por las diferentes metodologías que se pueden aplicar. El presente artículo describe los argumentos para justificar el estudio y diseño de los esquemas de remuneración transfronteriza.
